In 2005, Dan Wesson, located in Norwich, NY, was acquired by CZ-USA, and the brand took off as the standard for quality, American made 1911s. In the decades that followed, Dan Wesson produced some of the finest 1911 handguns on the market, including staples such as the Heritage, Heirloom and the 10mm Specialist. In 2020, Dan Wesson announced the DWX—a cutting edge handgun that combines all of the best features of a Dan Wesson 1911 with the greatest attributes of a CZ pistol.
Like CZ-USA, at Dan Wesson I was the one and only Video Production and Graphic Design Specialist for the brand. I was first hired as the Video Production Specialist and soon after took on more roles as the Graphic Designer, Company Photographer, and Brand Manager as my talents and passion couldn’t just stay in one category alone. From marketing campaigns to new product launches, I designed and coded emails, helped design the new website that launched in 2021, created marketing campaigns, organized photoshoots, took over all of the Webstore and website product imagery, kept our brand guide and logo type manual up-to-date, designed apparel graphics, and produced, filmed, wrote, edited, and published safety, educational, lifestyle, and promotional videos to keep the customer base and audience knowledgeable about our product lines.
